A convenient stay with friendly staff
The location of Citizen Hotel is fantastic, just a short walk from Dongmen MRT Station and many local eateries. The staff were friendly, always offering directions and helpful tips.
Breakfast was a disappointment due to the small dining area and limited variety after a few days. We also noticed that some noise leaked in from the busy street outside our window.

We asked for double room and it was spotless and compact with comfy sheets. The hotel was set in a very central area so close to buses, the nearest metro station, and Daan Park. We saw a Japanese - era temple, that's just a pleasant stroll away from the venue.
The staff we met were not very helpful.

spacious bathroom with Hansgrohe fittings, quick hot water supply, easy parking with valet service
The access to common toilets outside of breakfast hours and post-checkout is utterly inconvenient!!! Improving the wifi speed is essential as it struggles within the rooms!!! Please provide more than one extra pillow!!! The noise from the nearby rooftop ventilation systems could be bothersome at night!!!

Hotel rates are low, but the rooms are clean. Staff is friendly. If you are looking for value for money then this hotel should be taken into consideration.
Location is ok, but taxi is needed to get around (no underground nearby). However, taxi fares are low (around eur 3 to Taipei 101).

Location: the hotel was close enough to Close to the MRT station and convenience stores and a drugstore. Dessert restaurant Smoothie House was located 10 minutes walk away. Stayed in compact superior queen room with nice mattress, comfy sheets plus the bath tub.

Quite cozy and enjoyed the breakfast.
Buttons for tv didn't not work and it's not near mtr stations. I cannot change to 2 twin bed option. They said this considered an upgrade option. In usa, changing from Queen size bed to 2 Twin sized bed is an downgrade. Hmm...

The staff is polite & helpful.
It's kind of a "love motel" with hourly stay and free porn channels. And the air conditioning is too cold but not adjustable.

friendly staff, a nice clean and quiet rooms, a varity of local foods and banks are around. The Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall and mini-market 7-11 (Family) are placed in short walk. A tasty breakfast but not so big varity of dishes
It is about 15-20 minutes to the nearest MRT station and about 5 stations by MRT to the "Taipei 101" tower

The big outside sign greeitng you with something like "Rooms for two hours for 16 USD" makes you think what you are in for - but the place seems to be occupied by lots of lower budget city travelers! No to worry.
